FAQs
What should I do before my Botox treatment?
Preparing your skin before the treatment will help ensure optimal results and minimize any potential side effects. 1 month before your treatment, follow any specific skincare instructions from your provider. Otherwise, stick to your usual skincare routine. 2 weeks before, prioritize sun protection by diligently using SPF and avoiding sunburns, tanning beds, and self-tanners. 3 days before, continue your normal skincare routine, but pause any products containing active ingredients like retinol and glycolic acid.
How do I care for my skin after my Botox treatment?
Immediately after your treatment, you may experience tiny "mosquito bite" marks at the injection sites, but these typically fade within 30-60 minutes. However, you may apply makeup after your treatment if desired. Avoid lying down for the next 2 hours after the procedure. In the evening, you can resume your normal skincare routine, but avoid any products containing active ingredients like retinol and glycolic acid.Remember to consistently protect your skin with SPF 50+ throughout the healing process.
How long does it take to see results with Botox?
It takes typically around 2-3 days for the Botox to work and for you to see results.
How long does Botox treatment last?
This depends on your body’s metabolism. 3-6 months is the average time Botox lasts for but very strong muscles may metabolize it in only 2 months.
What if I don’t like the results?
We can do touch ups if we didn't achieve the desired results in the first session. Most patients love how smooth their skin looks and never want to reverse it. Very occasionally, complications arise such as a dropped eyebrow which corrects itself as the Botox wears off.
